MAI TAM CANCER CENTER PROJECT

In October 2009, the Hope For Tomorrow team in collaboration with other partners hosted a benefit to raise funds for the constructions of the Mai Tam Orphanage for children living with HIV/AIDS. December 2009, the residents moved into a brand new home that includes classrooms where the children receive daily tutoring and an infirmary where the residents receive medication. Additional facilities have been added such as a home for widowed mothers and their HIV/AIDS children and a workshop to teach life skills such as sewing.

Today, the Mai Tam Center and Hope For Tomorrow is initiating a campaign to raise funds for the construction of the Mai Tam Cancer Center. The center will serve the orphans and poor children who have cancer. The center will also provide temporary housing for relatives of the children who came to Saigon to seek treatments for their love ones. Most importantly, the center is a safe haven for cancer patients and their families to feel a sense of home and normalcy while struggling to fight cancer.

The construction of the Mai Tam Cancer Center has already broken grounds. However, the center still needs to raise capital to help finance the completion of the building project. The project is currently estimated at $215,000 ($175,000 for the physical building and $40,000 for furnishing and initial supply of medication / medical equipments).

Please consider being a sponsor for the project. The following levels are available:
1. Benefactor Builders
- $10,000 / per room
- $5,000 for half room
- $2,500 for quarter room
2. Sponsor Builders
- $1,000 / equipment & furnishings
3. Friend Builders
- $100 / brick to line the halls or garden
